When filling out the Letters of Evaluation portion of your primary application, DO NOT list the names of the individuals who have written the letters in your HPO file.  If your letters are being sent by the HPO to AMCAS, AACOMAS or AADSAS, you must list the Health Professions Office as your "Primary Contact" with This email address is being protected from spambots. AMCAS

The Health Professions Office uses the AMCAS Letter Writer Application.  This service requires that you choose either "Committee Letter", "Letter Packet" or “Individual Letter”.  You should choose "Letter Packet."  The packet will only contain letters of recommendation on file in your HPOdrome account. 

The letters will be coming from the HPO and should be entered as follows in the AMCAS evaluation section of the online application.

AACOMAS

When creating an evaluation request, answer “YES” to the question “Are you requesting a committee evaluation?”  Even though the HPO does not offer committee statements, responding “YES” will allow us to upload a packet of letters on your behalf.

The letters will be coming from the HPO and should be entered as follows in the AACOMAS evaluation section of the online application.

When assigning a due date on AACOMAS, please select a date at least four weeks between handing in your DO release form and the actual release of your letters.  Please be aware that during our busiest times (July through September) the may be a longer wait.

 

AADSAS

When assigning a due date on AADSAS, please select a date at least four weeks between handing in your dental release form and the actual release of your letters.  Please be aware that during our busiest times (July through September) the may be a longer wait.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  We will NOT be able to add letters once they are sent.  It is very important to make sure all expected letters have arrived in the HPO portal before signing the release form.  All letters must go together at the same time.

In addition to completing/submitting your online applications, please remember to:

1.  Confirm that ALL your expected letters of recommendation have been received in your HPOdrome online file. (click here for HPOdrome)
2.  After you have submitted your online application, you can complete/sign the appropriate HPO Release Form(s) (click here for release forms).  By signing the release form, you are certifying that you have already submitted your application.
3.  Email your fully completed/signed release form(s) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  (Missing information will only delay the process.)
4.  Submit your release form(s) processing fees via QuikPAY.  The fee for MD, DO and Dental Release Forms is $65.00 each.  All payments should be made through the QuikPAY links found next to each release form on the HPO Forms webpage.
