Are you planning to take the MCAT in 2026/2027? Drs. Stylianos and Carlino, physician/alumnae of Rutgers have generously provided funds to be used to help Rutgers, New Brunswick students who are applying to medical school and need to take the MCAT. This scholarship provides eligible candidates with a code for one-year access to AAMC test prep bundles. Available to Rutgers, New Brunswick juniors and seniors during the 2026-2027 academic year (Class years 27 and 28) planning to apply to medical school in 2027.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship the student must:
(1) Have a minimum HPOdrome science and overall GPA of 3.4
(2) Be a full-time junior or senior during the 2026-2027 academic year and have a file with the Health Professions Office.
(3) Completed basic premed courses (Biology 1 and 2 and lab; Chemistry 1 and 2 and lab; Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Psychology, Sociology, and a course in biochemistry and a course in statistics) by the end of the Spring 2026 semester. Students who have not yet taken a course in biochemistry must show proof of registration for one in the Fall 2026 semester to be considered for the award. Students who received AP credit for biology are required to have completed two upper-level biology (from Bio, CBN, MBB, Genetics) as well.
Applicants must have submitted the FAFSA through the financial aid office.

Each candidate should submit their application via the link below by Monday, June 15, 2026. Students must attach a paragraph describing how this scholarship will help them meet their goals and why they are a good candidate to receive this scholarship.

Selection
Students who receive scholarships will need to provide the HPO with a copy of their registration for the MCAT. If they have not registered for an exam in 2026, they will need to register for a 2027 date when the cycle opens in October and provide the HPO with a copy of the registration.
Students are required to release their MCAT scores to the HPO. Scholarship recipients will be required to write a thank-you letter to the donor.
Once students are awarded a scholarship, they will receive a code to access the AAMC materials. Please note that the access codes will be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
