  • Favorite Class and Why: Intro to Finance. I really liked this class because it helps you learn the basics of financial terminology and basic financial calculations. It gives you the confidence to be able to look at a company’s financials (balance sheets, income statements, etc.) and understand what is going on. It was also a great change of pace from the rest of my pre-med classes which were heavily STEM. Highly recommend it for anyone who thinks they might be interested in business in addition to medicine.

    Hey I’m Arnav. I’m a pre-med majoring in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. Right now, my main extracurricular is research—I’m working with a postdoc mentor to study how alcohol affects astrocyte calcium signaling in specific brain regions. I also volunteer as an EMT with my local EMS squad, which has been an incredible hands-on experience. Outside of academics, I’m really into history, especially ancient civilizations, and I’m a big PC gamer. I also love picking up random hobbies—In the past, I’ve collected sneakers, learned balisong tricks, and even ran a small eBay business. If you’ve got a cool hobby, I’m always down to learn.
