  • Fun Fact: I’m on the club pickleball team!
  • Favorite Class and Why: FIGS Peer Instructor class because it is a nice change from all of the other science courses that I’m taking. Although making lesson plans can be a lot of work, it is with a small group of people so it is very interactive and I feel supported every step of the way.
  • Extracurriculars: CCT at Robert Wood Johnson, Volunteering at East Jersey State Prison (Petey Greene), ODASIS PSS Instructor, Researcher in the Barber Lab at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, Rutgers Pickleball Club Team, Steering Chair of AMSA, Recreational Events Chair of CBN Society
  • More About Me:

Hi! My name is Colin Fang and I am a Cell Biology and Neuroscience premed focused on the educational aspect of medicine. I was a teaching assistant over the summer for Intro to Molecular Biology Genetics Research, will be a FIGS instructor next year, and am tutoring prisoners at East Jersey State Prison through the Petey Greene program with the intention of looking for more teaching opportunities! The most recent hobby I’ve picked up is trumpet (which my roommates aren’t too thrilled about) and I’m on the Rutgers Club Pickleball Team and have fun competing with friends or in local tournaments. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about time management, obtaining a CCT position, how education plays a role in medicine, or about research programs!
