Julie Traxler, PhDJulie Traxler, Ed.D. is an Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University. She has served as a health professions advisor since 1993. She is a member of the Health Professions Committee and the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson BA/MD committee.  Dean Traxler completed her Doctorate in Education at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education in the Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education program in May 2009. Her dissertation was entitled, "Major Choosing among South Asian American Women: Toward a New Theory of Advising." She completed her undergraduate degree in English and Journalism at Livingston College, Rutgers, in 1991, and a Masters Degree in English Literature at Rutgers in 1995.
